Maternity Session at Bull Creek Park Austin, Texas

This maternity session was so FUN! Genesis & Jacob are the sweetest parents-to-be to baby Liam due this fall. I saw so many cute portrait sessions at Bull Creek District Park in Austin, Texas, and knew we had to have the maternity session there. The location did NOT disappoint! It’s so beautiful and tranquil filled with hiking trails, climbing rocks, and even a river. You can find the exact website here.

The exact spot we chose started from the very first parking lot you can turn left on. It comes up fast, so it’s easy to miss! You can also drive a little farther and there’s a larger parking lot down the road to the left. From the parking lot, we started the session on a small trail that you can walk on the right. These pictures were filled with more trees and greenery along a path if that’s more of your vibe.

After spending time on the right side of the parking lot, we explored the left side of the parking lot which had easier access to the river and rocks. We were able to *carefully* cross the river and take photos on the opposite side of the river which had more shade cover from the morning sun. (We took photos around 9 am, so there’d be more sun on that side in the evening).

Overall, I LOVED this location for a session! There were a lot of people hiking and walking their dogs, so the ideal time for a portrait session would probably be during the week, if possible. We even saw a couple performing yoga on some rocks which was pretty neat! So far, it is my favorite portrait location because of the variety of looks you can get. Greenery, trails, water, rocks, etc. I hope you love it as much as I do!
